Recently Completed Projects

1. School Playground Construction in Sakhine Basic School

Sakhine Basic School is located in Bhimeshor Municipality, Ward No. 7, Dolakha with student size of 58 which can be reached in 6 hours from Kathamndu via Khadichaur.

The project is completed on Bhadra 6, 2082 and hence handed over to the school by completing the construction of playground, erection of fence wire, and installation of play tools best utilizing planned resources.

SWC has undertaken a table monitoring on Manasir 02, 2082 and based on the report  Samundra Nepal funded NRs. 5, 25,356 (including Overhead expenses NRs. 65,871). The school’s contribution was NRs. 226015. The project was funded by Solidarity Switzerland. 

Supported infrastructure are in use as expected.  

2. Two Days Free Uterine Prolapse and General Health Camps in Baiteshwor Rural Municipality

Two days free health camp in two venues in Baiteshwor Rural Municipality was organised in collaboration with local government on April 16-17, 2024.

A total of 185 women and men received health services and free medicine. Samundra Nepal donated medicine equivalent to NRs. 70,000 to Baiteshwor Hospital as well. A total of NRs. 435,000 was invested by Samundra Nepal granted by Samundra Belgium. Likewise, local government contributed for local human resource, and logistic.  

Three identified women for further treatment were cured support of Samundra in Kathmandu.   

3. Two Days Free Uterine Prolapse and General Health camp in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality

A two days free uterine prolapse and general health camp in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality was organised in collaboration with local government ion April 29-30, 2025 benefiting 447 men and women from needy families.

The project was planned to provide free health check up with VIA test to women 250 and general health check-up and provide free medicine to 250 men and women.

The total cost of the project bearded from Sanundra Nepal was NRs. 564,000. A total of NRs. 115,000 was local contribution. The project was funded by Samundra Belgium.

4. School Horticulture Support in Siddeshwor Secondary School

Siddeshwor Secondary school is located in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality Ward No. 4, Dolakha district with 250 students. The school can be reached in1 hour driving from Charikot , with a total of 8 hours driving from Kathmandu.The project was supported objectively to use unused land of the school and teach practical education of horticulture to the students. Another objective was to produce fruits for the students with nutrition. 

To achieve the objective, Samundra Nepal has supported the school to dig 150 pits, plant 150 plants of different fruit varieties, and procure compost fertilizer for the plants. As planned, the school successfully completed the project starting from January 28, 2025 to the end of June 2025.

The total project cost was NRs. 220,000 including overhead expenses. Samundra Nepal has provided NRs. 140,000 with the fund from Samundra Belgium. The plants are growing with 120 survived plants.

5. Uterine Prolapse Operation to the Needy Women from Baiteshwor Rural Municipality, Dolakha

Samundra Nepal organised health camps on uterine prolapse in Baiteshwor Rural Municipality. The health camp identified women who need medical surgery. Some of the women who needed surgery in Kathmandu needed financial support. 

Nine women were requested to come Kathmandu for further treatment with the financial support by Samundra Nepal. Out of nine, surgery was done for five women, two women did not appeared Kathmandu. Two women returned home with installation of pessary ring. The project has been implemented in planed timeframe. 

The total project cost was NRs. 790,800. Samundra Belgium has funded us NRs. 6, 27, 840. Because two women are still on medical follow up, the final cost of the project yet to conclude.
