We supported the establishment of Baiteshwor Hospital (through the name of Himalayan Care Hands) which is now under the ownership of the local government. Before establishing the hospital, thousands of people from this area used to suffer due to not getting basic health services in time; however, the situation is U-turned. Around 500 women have benefited from Uterine Prolapse treatment health camps. The people from Dolakha, Ramechhap, and Sindhupalchok are being sensitized through local FM programs on women’s health complications. The community is implementing a KIWI piloting project for income generation. Likewise, we assisted the community during the Nepal earthquake in 2015 and also became a part of supporting people seeking relief.
